TextMyGov is coming to Hinton in February

HINTON, WV (WOAY)- The city of Hinton is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov. This is a new smart text service that will help the city get information out to the public faster.

This can include a variety of things such as events, service outages, road work, weather reports, and more. Residents can also utilize it to reach out to the city and let their local officials know of issues going on. You can report safety issues such as potholes, trees, no water, floods, and even request various information.

The program will launch on February 1st. Residents may receive a text message from 91896 to get started with the service from the city. If you don’t get that message and want to receive these updates, you can opt-in by texting “Hinton” to 91896.
