Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – Crews around Fayette County are working to clear debris and make repairs following severe flooding yesterday.
Tuesday’s heavy rains washed out a culvert, leaving Terry Road impassable.
Wednesday morning, DOH workers were on site working to get the road back in working order.
Newswatch was informed that they hoped to have the road passable again by the end of the day Wednesday, but also acknowledged it would depend on how efficiently they could remove debris on trucks and replace the culvert.
Meanwhile, buses are not expected to be impacted for the first day of school tomorrow.
