Temperatures Tanking With Storm Systems

Tomorrow will be a beautiful day to get out and enjoy the weather while you can, as temperatures will still be in the 60’s across the region. As we look ahead to Monday, a cold front will sweep through Monday morning, and temperatures will drop 20-30 degrees for a widespread area. This cold front will likely bring us rain in Southern West Virginia, before transitioning to snow showers Monday afternoon and evening, mainly in the higher terrain.

This is a zoomed in look at what the snow showers could look like across our region Monday night. No widespread snow is expected Monday, and little to no accumulation anywhere in our area is expected.

After Monday, Tuesday will be very cold, expecially compared to what we have been greeted with this past week. We will watch another system march across entering our region New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day, which has a better shot at getting us snow showers.
