Tazewell, VA (WOAY) – A Southwest Virginia police department is warning its residents about the presence of coyotes.
According to a post on the Tazewell Virginia Police Department Facebook page, coyotes have been seen in town limits specifically in the Buskill Subdivision and Dogwood Road vicinity.
Coyotes typically roam in areas where they can easily find food sources. Officers are asking the community to help by securing any garbage, especially any with discarded food.
The Tazewell Police Department will be conducting increased patrols in the area in an effort to assist with the issue.
