BLUEFIELD, VA (WOAY) – Keeping Tazewell County schools sanitized is one of the top priorities heading into the fall semester.
Graham Middle School will have the school cleaned every day after students leave. Additionally, it will be heavily sanitized on Wednesdays when 100% of its students will be doing virtual learning.
“At the end of the day, my custodians will of course wipe down anything that is touched, that has high touch areas,” said Graham Middle School Principal Lee Salyers. “They will disinfect, sanitize at the end of the day. Of course on Wednesday, when the students are not here, there will be a heavy sanitation day in which they will do those things.”
Wednesdays are being used as online collaboration days in order to help keep the school safe for students who have opted for in-person learning.
