Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Revenue is reporting surplus tax collections of 28.5 million for the month of November.
Collections are up 10.5% from last year. Revenue is up thanks to significantly higher personal income and sales tax collections than expected.
Severance tax, corporate income tax, and tobacco tax collections were less than expected.
