BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – Sweet Thingz cupcakery boutique had its grand opening and ribbon cutting this morning.
Sweet Thingz is located off of East Cumberland Road in Bluefield. Owner Cyndi Price discussed the challenges of opening a new business during the pandemic.
“The process was really a little bit strenuous as far with the pandemic,” Price said. “All of your PPE things that you need is on back order. Materials you might need, supplies you might need, it’s been a challenge. We just persevered with it and we didn’t look back. We went through the whole quarantine back in April, so we had to put everything on hold. We got back on the ground in May.”
Sweet Thingz has three different cupcakes that it presents daily, as well as a menu that will be changing each month.
