Charleston, WV (WOAY)- We have an update on that early morning shooting in Charleston that took place on Monday, which resulted in a 15-year-old girl being shot.
Last night around 10:00 p.m., the suspect, 19-year-old Larry Joe Chapman III, turned himself in to Charleston Police.
Kanawha County Sheriff’s investigators quickly took Chapman into custody and served him with a felony warrant for Malicious Wounding.
Chapman spent the night at South Central Regional Jail.
He will face arraignment this morning.
Authorities are thanking the public and the media for their help in sharing this case, stating that their support played a crucial role in bringing it to a quick resolution.
Meanwhile, thoughts remain with the 15-year-old victim as she continues to recover.
