Ronceverte, WV (WOAY)- The suspect and victims in a Greenbrier County murder and assault case have been identified.
According to a media release, Greenbrier County Sheriffs responded to a call reporting a disturbance at a home in Ronceverte around midnight on Wednesday, September 3.
Deputies discovered a man attempting to flee the scene as they were arriving.
Lewisburg, Ronceverte, and White Sulphur Springs Police Departments assisted in the short pursuit.
Authorities captured and arrested 42-year-old Michael Eugene Loudermilk Jr.
Loudermilk awaits further court proceedings in Southern Regional Jail without bond.
Authorities investigating the home discovered a man suffering from severe wounds underneath a camper.
Officers called EMS to provide the victim, identified as 52-year-old Brian Loudermilk, with first aid and transport him to a trauma center.
Further investigation of the scene led to the discovery of a deceased woman, identified as 36-year-old Quailynn Bass of Florida, lying in a bed with visible wounds.
The medical examiner’s office is conducting an autopsy to provide an official ruling on the cause of death.
