Summersville Homeless Coalition hosting Community Resource Fair on February 19

Summersville, WV (WOAY) The city of Summersville’s Homeless Coalition wants to ensure that anyone experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes knows that help is available.
The coalition will host a Community Resource Fair on Thursday, February 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Summersville Baptist Church Family Life Center.
The event will connect individuals and families with essential services, such as hot meals, healthcare, dental care, haircuts, clothing, hygiene, food, laundry supplies, recovery, and veterans’ services.
The Mountain Transit Authority will provide free transportation from multiple pickup locations throughout the county.

Locations include:  

  • Richwood City Hall at 10:00 am  
  • Mt Nebo U Save at 10:15 am 
  • Craigsville U Save at 10:30 am 
  • Birch River Go Mart at 10:30 am 
  • Summersville’s Merchants Walk Lot (former Big Lots end) at 10:45 am 

The shuttle will return to the church to drop off attendees at their original pickup locations at 1:00 p.m.

The event is open to anyone in need of assistance, and organizers urge everyone to spread the word to ensure our neighbors have access to these crucial resources.
