Summers County, WV (WOAY) – The Summers County Sheriff’s Office has charged two people with allegedly planning to deliver drugs.
Wednesday afternoon, during proactive patrols, Sheriff Justin Faris saw what appeared to be a suspected narcotics transaction and started an investigation.
This led to Ernie Cook and Tiffany Cales being taken into custody.
Dupites found suspected fentanyl, marijuana, and a large amount of U.S. currency.
While Cook was in custody, he allegedly received a text message from someone who wanted to purchase illegal drugs.
Cook has been charged with delivery and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.
Cales has been charged with delivery of marijuana and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.
Both are currently being held at Southern Regional Jail pending court proceedings.
