SANDSTONE, WV (WOAY) – Summers County Public Library Bookmobile kicked off their first day in Sandstone this morning.
The bookmobile was parked in the New River Citgo parking lot to provide children with free WiFi who are learning remotely. Children also got the chance to rent books. The bookmobile will be located there on Wednesdays from 9 am to noon.
“We choose this area because it’s not real close to the free WiFi spots that are provided by the state. The schools have free WiFi the libraries have free WiFi in and out of the building, so we wanted to bring the program down here at Sandstone,” Library Director, Austin Persinger said.
Persinger said the library is currently working on more locations to park the bookmobile.
