Summers County deputies make animal cruelty arrests

Hinton, WV (WOAY) – Summers County deputies have made arrests related to an animal cruelty investigation.

According to a post on the Summers County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, on Wednesday March 5, 2025, Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins conducted an investigation into animal cruelty allegation in the Jumping Branch area of Summers County. He identified the owner of the dog involved in the investigation and on March 6, 2025, obtained arrest warrants for two individuals related to the case.

On March 14, 2025, Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins executed arrest warrants for Tiffany Gill and Dylan Dick from the Nimitz area of Summers County. Both were charged with one count each of animal cruelty.

Chief Deputy Adkins tells WOAY that the Summers County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating several unrelated animal cruelty incidents taking place in Summers County. There are several outstanding arrest warrants, with more information to come in this ongoing investigation.
