Summers County Comprehensive High School recognized for voter registration efforts

HINTON, WV (WOAY) – Summers County Comprehensive High School has received an award from West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner for its work getting students registered to vote.

Called the Jennings Randolph Award, the certificate recognizes schools with at least 85% of the senior class registered to vote.

Only 26 schools in the entire state met this criteria this year.

Additionally, Summers County High School senior Brandon Isaac was recognized as an honorary secretary of state for his efforts leading voter registration.
