Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) A local church is holding an outreach event next Saturday at the lively amphitheatre in Oak Hill.
Struggle 2 Salvation Outreach Ministries, part of the Rising Remnant House of Restoration, is having its 4th annual “Praise in the Park” event on Saturday, September 19th, from 11 am to 7 pm.
Pastor Amanda Green says the event is free and open to everyone and will provide free food, clothing, hygiene products, and community resources for those struggling with addiction and anyone in need.
There will also be live gospel music and baptisms.
Green says the ministry is also seeking volunteers, musicians, testimonial speakers, donations, and community connections.
“This is for everybody. So whether you’re a minister or whether you’re a family that has a loved one in need, or if you’re an individual who’s out here struggling and you don’t know what you need to do in life—or maybe you’ve just lost your way somehow, someway to the world, whether it’s drugs, alcohol, or any form of addiction, and you’re just struggling—we’re here to help, and that’s what we’re here about on the 19th.”
