Structure fire leads to arson arrest in Fayette County

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) A Fayette County structure fire has resulted in an arson arrest.

According to Sheriff Jess McMullen, on March 24, Fayette County 911 received a call reporting a structure fire in the Gauley Bridge area.

Fire officials and authorities responded and discovered a residence engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire with no reported injuries.

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies launched an investigation and found the residence did not have electric service when the fire broke out.

The video captured one person entering and exiting the building before smoke began emitting from the residence.

Deputies identified the suspect as 33-year-old Tiffany Stricker.

Stricker faces a felony arson charge and awaits further court proceedings in Southern Regional Jail on a $60,000 cash bail.
