Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Marshall University is welcoming home a celebrity alum to serve as grand marshal for this year’s homecoming activities.
Joe Chrest is a native of Saint Albans, WV, a 1986 Marshall graduate, and star of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things.” In a press release, Marshall University announced that Chrest will lead this year’s homecoming parade on Friday, September 25th at 6 pm. The parade is part of a full week of homecoming activities, all with a 1980s mystery theme, much like Chrest’s Netflix show.
The press release also states that Chrest will participate in other events on and around campus leading up to the homecoming football game against Gardner-Webb University on the 26th.
