StepStone Family and Youth Services to begin annual Wrapped In Love Blanket Drive on February 2

Princeton, WV (WOAY) As frigid cold temperatures continue their hold on the region, StepStone Family & Youth Services of West Virginia is working to make sure children in foster care feel warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging this winter.

The organization’s annual “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive kicks off February 2 through February 13.
StepStone locations statewide will display donation boxes for new and gently used blankets.
The drive brings together community members, partners, and volunteers to provide foster youth with something many don’t always have: an item they can truly call their own.
Stepstone Recruitment Manager Tina Russell says many foster children move from home to home without personal belongings that offer comfort.
She says even something as simple as a blanket can provide warmth, security, and a reminder that someone cares for them.
Wrapped in Love launched in 2020 and has become a key part of the organization’s mission to support the emotional and practical needs of children.
StepStone operates in nine states, with West Virginia offices in Bridgeport, Dunbar, and Princeton.
All StepStone locations will participate in the blanket drive this winter.
