OAK HILL, WV (WOAY)- The National Safety Council estimates that 443 people may die during travel this Memorial Day weekend. Most travel will happen tomorrow as many will be heading home.
Here’s some tips on driving safely for the way home.
You’re reminded to drive defensively. You can do this by buckling up and having a sober and well-rested driver behind the wheel. Make sure your vehicle is good and ready to go with gas and no leaking tires.
Watch your speed and be ready to adjust it for inclement weather or traffic. Be sure to stay focused on the road, don’t be looking at your phone when driving. When leaving your car, always check the back seat.
Stay safe when heading home, everyone!
