State Fair of West Virginia accepting art submissions for Annual State Fair Art Contest until April 27

Lewisburg, WV (WOAY) Calling all artists! The State Fair of West Virginia’s (SFWV) Annual State Fair Art Contest is accepting submissions from professional and amateur artists.

State Fair officials will feature the winning piece at the 2026 State Fair Print of the Year.

The winning artist will receive a cash prize and a percentage of the print sales. 

State Fair CEO Kelly Collins says they “are excited to continue to promote local artists and can’t wait to see what folks come up with.”

The official State Fair print should portray a positive image of the State Fair of West Virginia or reflect activities in anticipation or preparation of the annual event.

Submission guidelines include:

• 11″x14″, or 11″x17″ vertical or horizontal image 
• Oil, acrylic, watercolor, or pastel mediums   
• Must be able to copy for print production purposes

The submission deadline is April 27.
