MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A staff member at the McDowell County Federal Corrections Facility has tested positive for COVID-19.
As of now, no prisoners have tested positive for COVID-19. A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons says that “In accordance with the Privacy Act we are unable to provide further information.”
The McDowell County facility has just over 1,000 inmates.
Five inmates have tested positive at the FCI Gilmer location.
