Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): Stubborn low pressure will trigger occasional rain and thunder this evening that will interrupt one or two high school football games in the first quarter.
Braden Petry’s latest forecast:
Showers will diminish late this evening and return again Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Rainfall amounts will reach 1.0-1.5 inches, which is much needed amidst our recent dry spell. Flash flooding and severe weather are not expected through the weekend.
Monday will be dry in the low pressure’s wake followed by rain likely very late Tuesday into Wednesday ahead of a cold front. An autumn preview is expected Thursday into Friday.
Hurricane Lee will stay east of the Mid-Atlantic coast but will help reinforce the autumn chill across the region late next week.
