We are tracking a couple of systems that will move through our region, bringing the potential for snow. The first system actually moved through with the cold front we had earlier today. It is currently funneling cold air into our region, which will set up mountain snow off and on through the day today.

We are not expecting that much snow through Tuesday, but 3-5 inches does seem possible in the higher terrain of Pocahontas, Greenbrier and Nicholas Counties. 1-3 inches of snow seems possible around that, while a dusting to an isolated inch seem possible everywhere else.
Looking ahead to the full 7 day forecast, you can see the snow for Monday, lingering into Tuesday, before we dry up Wednesday. A second system looks to take aim at Southern West Virginia as we ring in the new year. Most snow will fall Thursday, but some models are hinting towards an early arrival on Wednesday night. Accumulations look to be more likely for everyone on this day!
