GLADE CREEK, WV (WOAY) – The Division of Highways has closed the slow lanes, both eastbound and westbound, on Glade Creek Bridge along I-64.
It’s to accommodate an ongoing inspection after state officials found cracks in a bridge girder connection during a routine check-up today, July 1.
Officials are telling us that they are developing a repair plan and are not completely closing the bridge at this time. They will provide updates when the repairs begin.
The bridge spans 2,179 feet and runs 700 feet above Glade Creek. It’s the tallest bridge in the interstate highway system.
