OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – It is a mostly cloudy evening in the region as showers move through from west to east, associated with a front. The showers have faded now that the sun has set, but with all the cloud cover in place, temperatures will not fall very much tonight. Lows will be in the mid-60s.

Tomorrow, more showers and isolated storms are in the forecast as the front moves very slowly to the southeast.

The forecast question is about the front’s location. If it manages to clear the area, there will be less rain around; otherwise, more rain can be expected. Either way, rain gear will be a good accessory to have when traveling around the area throughout the day, including to the Friday night football games. Cloud cover and rain will once again influence our temperatures, this time keeping them cooler than they have been. Highs will be around 80 degrees, still above normal but not the mid-80s that we have been seeing. Lows tomorrow night will be in similar territory to where they’ll be tonight.
The weekend will feature more chances for rain as the front is slow to push to our south.

Both days will feature rain chances, with a better chance on Saturday than on Sunday. Weekend plans should be fine weather-wise, but an indoor alternative to any outdoor plans will be a good idea. Despite the front sitting to our south, temperatures will be a shade above normal again; Highs will be in the lower 80s, lows in the lower 60s. The rest of the extended forecast will be similar to the weekend, although we will see a break from the rain on Monday and only scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
