PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – At 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a stolen motorcycle from a resident in Pineville.
The police arrived on-scene where the vehicle that took the motorcycle was found, but the motorcycle was not with the vehicle at that point. This is the second case that the department was investigating on Tuesday.
“It just happened to be that the homeowner saw the truck leaving the scene with his motorcycle in the back of it,” said department Chief Deputy Brad Ellison. “So we took the initial report and got a description of the vehicle. The owner actually went out looking for this vehicle that day, and he located the vehicle in Oceana, West Virginia.”
The department is currently charging Keith Dotson with grand larceny.
