HINTON, WV (WOAY) – Summers County senior Markis Crawford is a player who leads by example on the football field, and his confidence played a big role last Friday regarding individual and team success.
Crawford rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns as the Bobcats won 26-7 against a Shady Spring team playing with confidence themselves. The running back took multiple direct snaps, as he had in the Bobcats’ season opener against Greenbrier West.
Crawford and his teammates think their Week 2 win could represent a turning point, if they can keep playing with the same intensity.
Summers County stays at home Friday as they host Mount View.
