BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Shade Tree and Smooth Impressions Car Club held another car cruise this weekend, but this time it was dedicated to a community member’s 91st birthday.Â
The cruise was dedicated to Mr. Harris, a member of the Beckley community. Stephanie French, the Secretary and Treasurer of Shade Tree, says they wanted to wish Mr. Harris a happy birthday in a safe way.
“During this COVID-19, a lot of people can’t gather together, and with Mr. Harris being elderly, you really have to be careful of his safety. So we’re just trying to spread him some cheer for his birthday,” French said.
The cruises will continue every other weekend throughout June and July.
