West Virginia (WOAY) September 24 is Save a Life Day, an effort to make Naloxone, also known as Narcan, more accessible in communities across the region.
Naloxone is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose and potentially save a life.
The medication does not affect someone who hasn’t taken opioids, making it a critical tool for bystanders and first responders alike.
Free naloxone will be distributed at community locations across the region.
Organizers encourage all community members to attend an event and learn how they can help save lives.
