Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Senator Shelley Moore Capito has announced that she is running for re-election.
Capito is seeking her third term in office. She is West Virginia’s Senior Senator and is the fourth-highest-ranking republican.
In a statement, Capito said she wants to continue working with the Trump Administration to work for West Virginia and stand for the state’s principles and way of life.
President Trump endorsed her in May.
Capito is facing a primary challenge from Tom Willis, a state senator from the eastern panhandle.
