Sections of Greenbrier River Trail to close during two year bridge redecking project starting January

Caldwell,WV (WOAY) The Greenbrier River Trail will undergo a major bridge redecking project over the next two years.

Work starts mid-January on the southern end of the trail in Caldwell.

As the project moves forward, some sections of the trail will be closed.

Trail officials encourage the public to stay informed by regularly checking the Greenbrier River Trail foundation’s website.

Visitors can find closure dates and affected areas will be posted as work progresses.

Officials ask for patience during the project, noting the improvements will enhance safety and extend the life of the trail.

The foundation also thanks the West Virginia Division of Highways and several community partners for their support and funding of the project.
