West Virginia (WOAY)- The West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office announces 1,169 new registered businesses statewide for July.
Wirt, Wetzel, Summers, Wyoming, and Morgan are the top five counties in new business growth for July.
Kanawha, Monongalia, Berkeley, Raleigh, and Jefferson counties led the state in total businesses registered for the month.
The Secretary of State’s Business and Licensing Division reports that West Virginia registered 13,664 new businesses statewide from August 1st, 2023, to July 31st, 2024.
Mason County is leading all 55 counties with a 19.84% growth rate during the one-year time span.
