Wayne County, WV (WOAY) – State police have informed Newswatch about a school bus being involved in a crash.
Senior Trooper C.D. Newmen responded to a motor vehicle crash in Wayne County.
The crash involved a Wayne County school bus in the 3000 block of Sharps Branch Road in Kenova.
When Senior Trooper Newman arrived, it was determined that the crash did not cause any damage to personal property and that it was a single vehicle incident.
The bus had a driver and 7 students on board at the time of the crash.
Kenova EMS checked and medically cleared everyone. The students we sent home with their parents or remained in the care of the Wayne County Board of Education until a parent could be contacted.
This incident remains under investigation. We will update you as we learn more.
