Scheduled water outage planned for a portion of Raleigh County

Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – A portion of Raleigh County will be without water due to a planned outage.

According to a media advisory from the Raleigh County Public Service District, the scheduled outage will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025, and impacts customers that are part of the Airport System.

The areas covered under the outage are the areas of Airport Road, Industrial Park Road, Commerce Drive, Mine Academy Drive, Southern Industrial Drive, Clifftop Drive, Old Piney Trail, Maplewood Lane, Cottonwood Avenue, University Drive, Orchard Hill Road, Cherry Hills Subdivision, Log Cabin Road, Boxwood Lane, and all side streets.

The outage will begin at 8:00 a.m. and there is no estimated time of restoration. Raleigh County PSD officials say they have given the contractor an eight-hour window for having the water off, however the water will be restored as soon as the work is completed.

The scheduled water outage is due to the state road project in Beaver needing the main water line relocated. 

Raleigh County PSD officials as for patience and understanding as they work with the contractor on this portion of the Bypass Project.
