Beckley, WV (WOAY) As the temperatures warm up, it’s the perfect time to lace up your shoes and get outside for a walk or a run.
The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center (RSYC) is providing you with an opportunity to do it for a great cause.
On Saturday, March 28, RSYC will host the Rabbit Run 5K.
Participants can walk it or run it.
The fee to join is $40.
All proceeds benefit the Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center.
Runners and walkers will meet at McManus Trail at 7:00 am for registration.
Organizers will distribute packets at 8:00 am.
There’s still time to register, and organizers have extended the deadline for a free race T-shirt with registration through Sunday, March 8.
After the 5K, organizers will host The Bunny Blitz Color Fun Run for children 12 and under.
Registration will take place same day with no fee for the kids to participate.
However, donations will be accepted.
