Salvation Army and Rotary Club of Princeton hold community food drive

PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – The Salvation Army and Rotary Club of Princeton got together to distribute food to the community.

Hundreds of people showed up in their vehicles to drive by and pick up fresh groceries free of charge. Lieutenant Dennis Smith with the Salvation Army says they are committed to serving the community during this time of need.

“We’re called to meet people at their needs. And I think what they will find is that we’re here. We’re committed to helping folks in our very community. We have no intentions of changing things to lessen that,” Smith said.

This was the second drive-thru food drive the Salvation Army of Princeton has done during the pandemic.
