Saint Albans man convicted on sexual assault and incest charges in Kanawha County

Charleston, WV (WOAY) A Saint Albans man has been convicted on sexual assault and incest charges in Kanawha County.

According to the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney, 37-year-old Clifford D. Fronda was convicted on Friday, March 6, on four counts of sexual assault charges and one count of incest following a guilty plea.

According to court documents, on January 2, 2025, a Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office detective attended a forensic interview regarding the sexual abuse of a juvenile victim.
During the interview, the victim reported that her father had sexually abused her on several occasions between 2022 and 2024.
During the investigation, the detective interviewed Fronda, admitted to some of the allegations, and was subsequently arrested and charged.
Fronda’s sentencing is scheduled for June 4, and he faces a maximum penalty of 45 to 115 years in prison.
