RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – On July 31, a robbery suspect took deputies on a morning pursuit.
It started at around 9:45 am when Raleigh County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a robbery in progress at the 1900 block of Ritter Drive in Daniels.
Police were notified that a female suspect, now identified as Alycia Cook, left in a brown van, and two males were still on the scene.
Lieutenant Redden found the van and tried to stop it – which started a pursuit as the van drove through Raleigh County.
The pursuit ended in the 1000 block of Sullivan Road – where Cook was then taken into custody.
Deputies then followed up back to the original crime scene and found one of the two male suspects, Jesse Blake on the scene.
Both Blake and Cook have been arrested and are at the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office for processing and then they will go to the magistrate court for arraignment.
There is still one male suspect at large.
Cook faces a slew of charges including fleeing while impaired, fleeing with reckless indifference, 1st offense DUI of a controlled substance, and 12 other charges.
Blake has been charged with 2 counts of breaking and entering, conspiracy, and petit larceny.
