RICHWOOD, WV (WOAY) – A Richwood mother has been arrested and charged with first degree murder for her daughter, according to a press release from the West Virginia State Police.
On Monday 50-year old Staci Wind filed a missing persons report to the Richwood police department for 26-year old Ayla Wind.
On Friday May 22, the West Virginia State Police Richwood detachment responded to summit lake in greenbrier county to investigate alleged human remains.
During the investigation, troopers found a shallow grave containing a deceased human body.
On Saturday May 23rd Staci Wind was arrested on first degree murder charges. The investigation is still ongoing.
