Richlands Police Department urges public to be on the lookout for armed and dangerous robbery suspect

UPDATE: Jason Morgan has been arrested by authorities with the Christiansburg Police Department.

Richlands, VA (WOAY)- The Richlands Police Department is actively investigating a Monday afternoon robbery at the local Family Dollar store and is seeking the public’s help with locating the suspect who is at large.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Jason Morgan, from Portsmouth, VA.

At the time of the incident, Morgan was driving a Kia SUV with a Virginia license plate TDL-8565.

Morgan’s current whereabouts are unknown.

Police warn that he is considered armed and dangerous.

The public is strongly urged not to approach the suspect.

Anyone who may have information regarding his location or who may have seen the vehicle is asked to immediately call 911.
