Richlands, VA (WOAY) The Town of Richlands is inviting the public to get a firsthand look at new public safety equipment designed to strengthen emergency response in the region.
The Richlands Police Department and the Town’s Office of Emergency Management will host a Public Safety Open House and Equipment Unveiling on Thursday, February 26, at 5:00 p.m. at the police department.
The event will showcase the Town’s new Public Safety Mobile Communications Command Post, along with the Emergency Operations Center and other emergency management equipment aimed at improving preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities.
Guests will have a chance to tour the department, view the Emergency Operations Center, and take a guided walkthrough of the new Mobile Communications Command Trailer.
A brief overview of the Town’s emergency preparedness initiatives will be provided.
Following the presentation, department leadership will be available to address questions about how the new resources will enhance regional response and interagency coordination.
Community members and anyone interested in public safety operations are encouraged to attend.
