WOAY – The statewide color-coded map was updated Saturday afternoon regarding school-related activities, with Fayette and Monroe counties staying in the orange zone. Nicholas County is green, while all other area counties are yellow.
This means the high school sports teams in Fayette & Monroe counties (James Monroe, Meadow Bridge, Midland Trail, Oak Hill) can hold practice next week, but no games.
Most area football games for Week 3 are unaffected by this latest update, but some teams have had games postponed; Greenbrier West will now host Pendleton County Friday, instead of Buffalo, due to Putnam County also being in the orange zone.
