Retro Reset to host a Bingo Night for a good cause

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- From gaming to rasslin, to train shows, Retro Reset loves hosting a good event. Now they are hosting one for a good cause.

Retro Reset will be hosting its first bingo night in the Crossroads Mall. This bingo is a predecessor to their upcoming retro mania wrestling match this August. Both of these events are not just for entertainment. They are raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

“We do a big event every year. We’ve done the Encounter Con. We’ve done Kill Con, which was a horror convention. This year, we’re kind of merging all of that into the big wrestling event. And, we wanted to be able to give back to the community. So we decided to do some fundraising with it as well,” explained Shannon Ingram, Co-owner of Retro Reset.

Nearly 7 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s. It affects more than just the individuals with it, so that’s why they chose this cause.

“We’ve had a lot of celebrity guests here that it was really important to them, because Alzheimer’s has affected a lot of people that we worked with,” said Ingram.

Retro reset isn’t the only place in the mall that is supporting the cause. Many stores donated items for bingo goers to win.

“There’s gift certificates from various places in the mall. We’ve got a Yeti cooler. We’ve got, tattoo certificates to save money there,” said Ingram. “Just almost everyone in the mall chipped in one way or another and donated something.”
