WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The morning commute will feature isolated fog and chilly temperatures. Frost is possible across the region, but Frost Advisories have not been issued in our area. Most of the area is out of the growing season, which is why advisories are only in the northwestern section of the state. Temperatures will warm up later this morning, allowing most to shed their layers later today.
The afternoon will be a repeat affair as high pressure lingers. Temperatures rise into the mid- to upper 60s while skies remain sunny. It will be a pleasant day to head outside and enjoy the sunshine. However, temperatures will fall quickly after sunset. The air is quite dry across the region, which results in efficient overnight cooling. Temperatures quickly drop into the 40s, flattening out in the upper 30s and lower 40s tomorrow morning. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the latest details:
We will sound like a broken record over the next week or so, but this is a symptom of conditions becoming so stable. High pressure lingers across the area throughout the week, continuing the streak of dry, cool weather. Mornings will be brisk, afternoons are pleasant, skies stay mostly sunny, and the air remains drier than usual. No rain is expected through the next 7 days as high pressure deflects any potential disturbances. If you do not have plans yet, take advantage of this gorgeous weather. Just remember to wear warm layers in the morning! Here’s the 7-Day Forecast:
