West Virginia (WOAY) The American Red Cross is encouraging donors to give blood this winter as the organization is facing a shortage.
The holiday season and winter weather make it difficult for the organization to ensure hospitals have access to the necessary blood donations for critical care.
The Red Cross especially needs donors with A negative, B negative, and O blood types.
The organization is teaming up with the National Football League (NFL) to offer for some extra incentive to donate this winter.
Donors who give blood between now and January 25 will automatically have a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Super Bowl LX.
