Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – The Red Cross says it urgently needs blood donors to keep its supply stable.
The organization says that it has seen a drop in scheduled donations in recent weeks.
Summer is traditionally a difficult time, as people have less time to donate, and the hurricane season begins.
This is also a critical time of year for blood banks, as the risk for serious injury increases in summer.
Anyone who gives blood this month will receive a $15 gift card to a merchant of their choice and will be entered for a chance to win two $7,500 gift cards.
