Hinton, WV (WOAY) – In Hinton, the REACHH Family Resource Center and Child Advocacy Center will celebrate the grand opening of Jo Ann’s Food Pantry with a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. at 409 Temple Street.
The event marks the completion of a key part of $650,000 in federally funded renovations, backed by Senator Shelley Moore Capito and Representative Carol Miller through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
REACHH Executive Director Felisha Hartwell says:
“the new pantry is already in demand, with community members calling and stopping by to ask when food services will begin. “
Doors open to clients at 1:00 p.m., following the celebratory lunch.
The pantry is just one piece of extensive upgrades to REACHH’s historic facilities — and so far, over $346,000 has been used from the grant.
Hartwell says the improvements reflect both urgent need and community support. You can learn more at reachhfrc.org.
