Beckley, WV (WOAY) Raleigh General Hospital will remain open and accessible as pavement improvements continue along Carriage Drive in Beckley.
The City of Beckley is expected to begin work on the section between the Harper Road intersection and the emergency room entrances today.
Paving will take place one lane at a time, with one lane maintained to keep traffic moving and hospital access open.
Raleigh General says patient care will continue without interruption.
Travelers heading to the hospital or one of the medical offices along Carriage Drive are advised to allow extra time and follow posted signs and directions from crews.
The work is weather-dependent, and updates will be provided if traffic or access plans change
