Beckley,WV(WOAY) Blood donors are needed this month at Raleigh General Hospital.
The hospital will host a blood drive on Friday, August 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the RGH Education Center, located behind the hospital.
Appointments are encouraged.
Donors can schedule through the American Red Cross website and can also complete RapidPass on the day of their appointment to help speed up the process.
Organizers say every donation can make a meaningful difference for patients in need throughout our community.
The Red Cross is further incentivizing people to give blood amid a nationwide shortage by offering donors who give this month a digital $20 Amazon gift card.
