Beckley, WV (WOAY) – March 30th is National Doctor’s Day, and Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley made sure its physicians felt the love.
The hospital provided doctors on the staff with a delicious lunch and desserts, and an abundance of heart-felt thanks and appreciation.
For the staff at Raleigh General, its a chance to pause and recognize the dedication it takes to do this type of work.
“This is awesome. Not a lot of hospitals go out of their way like Raleigh General does each year to appreciate the doctors that work here,” said Hospitalist, Michelle Oye. “So it’s just an honor that they’re willing to show us how much they appreciate us every day.”
“It’s special. It’s really special for everybody,” said Interventional Pain Specialist, Andrew Thymius. “Any physician that works in this area to be recognized for what we do … we put in a lot of long hours and make a lot of tough decisions and and to be appreciated like this is wonderful.”
